Salutes Occupational Health Ltd is a family owned company based in the East Midlands. Established in 2004 by Cathryn Fottles, Salutes has grown from strength to strength over the past 14 years in business, with Cathryn utilising her experience in corporate healthcare to ensure a sensible commercial approach and exceptional service to all of Salutes’ clients.
Ideally situated in Robin Hood Country in the middle of the United Kingdom, Salutes is able to provide Occupational Health support and services nationwide, from small to large business. Our efficiency, knowledge and loyalty to our ethos provide the company with consistently high client satisfaction and retention rates.
Before establishing Salutes Occupational Health in 2004, Director, Cathryn Fottles, spent several years working in the medical sales field as a Business Manager after graduating as a nurse and working as a senior staff nurse in the NHS. After gaining invaluable experience in the corporate world, Cathryn switched her briefcase for ski poles, and headed to the French Alps for a wintery adventure. Continuing to see as much of the world as possible has been a passion of Cathryn’s ever since.
After settling down in the UK once again, Cathryn has spent years steadily growing Salutes Occupational Health to its rivalled position today. Working closely with clients to ensure a more human approach to Occupational Health services, Cathryn comments:
"Salutes was born from a desire to offer clients a more personal, flexible and - most importantly - consistent service. I wanted my clients to know who I was personally, and be able to contact me when they had questions. I always work closely with my clients, so I can offer ongoing advice and help them understand the legislation, considering both the business and employee needs. I am passionate about offering the best service possible, and thoroughly enjoy seeing satisfied client after satisfied client."
Cathryn and Larry met almost two decades ago, and married in 2010. After working in management positions at a National organisation for 30 years, in 2015 Larry left his corporate position and - like his wife, years ago, also escaped to the mountains of France, undertaking a well-earned sabbatical where he completed his ski instructors course. Larry joined Cathryn to work within the family business in 2016. Bringing with him a wealth of business and management experience, Larry strengthens Salutes Occupational Health’s ability to work closely with client management. Larry also offers hands on support as a qualified Occupational Health Technician and has helped Salutes expand its services by offering the newly launched drug and alcohol screening.
Focused on easing the burden of compliance for clients, Larry says:
"I really enjoy the challenges that come with dealing with a wide variety of business such as we do here at Salutes. I get a lot of satisfaction from the fact that our actions can - and do - prevent real health issues with company employees, as well assist our clients with compliance without the headache of navigating the minefield of legislation. I like to offer flexibility and a no problem attitude when working with our clients"
